Newest Technology Effects

Robots are becoming a bigger deal each day. They are slowly taking the jobs of us humans because it saves companies money and they feel as if it gets things done faster. The Royal Caribbean cruise line has already replaced their human workers with robots. They have machines programmed to make any drink possible at bars and they can make two drinks per minute. If robots continue to expand the amount of jobs that will be whiped out will be ridiculous. There are multiple scenarios that come up showing how robots can easily take over anything they are created to do.

Postmodern Crisis: A group I would add to this category is The Police. I chose this group because they relate to many of the artist we are given for this category. I feel as though many of their songs are along the same beat and basis of how the music is created. The song I thought of by them was, Every Breath You Take.

Disco: A group I added to this category of music would be Chic. Their music was very popular during the disco era and is created the same as most popluar disco songs. The song that I feel best would fit in is, Everybody Dance. The instruments and background music has the same upbeat rhythm that makes you want to dance. Which is what the disco era was all about.

Dubstep: This type of music has a very distinct way of being created and not many artists are able to do it so well. An artist I would add to this category would be Excision. His music is very similar to other artists such as Skrillex and Plastician. The music is a lot of sound created with technology we have today and not with words.

Ninties: This category of music has many artists I could think of right away such as Pearl Jam, Green Day, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Weezer. The group I would choose to add though would be the Red Hot Chilli Peppers because their songs relate a lot to the idea behind this category of music. They all have the slowed down tone of the songs, a lot of base played and drumming. It is a very popular category of music and one of my favorites. A song I would like to add would be Californication.

Girl Power: A group that is very well known that I myself listen to and know fit perfectly to this category would be The Go-Go's. Their music is is very similar to Blondie with the tone of song and how they're performed. A song I would add to this category is Our Lips Are Sealed. All the performances done by these girl groups are mainly more upbeat and done to show their girlie side and not allow male artists to take all the credit. These women were rising up at the time to show they can perform and show their talents just as well.

Xerox Project

My xerox project is formed by my hands to create a flower. This flower however isn't one of the prettiest flowers because I am showing that as we grow older our hands get more and more worn out. This flower is growing older and older but slowly getting weaker. The flower can't fully blossom the way it used to be able to. Just as our hands grow weaker with age and the hard work we've put them through over our years of life. As the flower goes through weather changes, ages over time, it's ability to keep coming back to full blossom lessens. Our hands are more than just for our own use, they allow us to grow, help others around us, build, work, etc. A flower blooming isn't just that, a flower blooming is a soul blossoming is nature. Over time we lose control of our ability to be as we please, we can't stop our hands from growing weak. Flowers have no control over their life span, we grow old but live a life of love, hard work, sunny days, rainy days. Most of all we live day by day, cherish all of the happy times; they make a fine cushion for old age.

Robot Opinion

I feel as though the idea of robots can be very helpful and are super high tech. I think there are a lot of downsides though, robots can become so powerful to gain more power than us. They could be mean to their creaters, like in the video we watched it was mentioned that "Jewel" the robot can be mean to us if he isn't treated right. These robots are even mistaken as real people which can totally creep people out. I don't think the creation of robots is exciting at all, I have always thought they were strange and now that they are being worked on more in today's generation, worries me. People are only going to lose their jobs because robots are being made do their tasks. The creation of "Sophia" has become the most high tech robot that is in creation. During her creation though it was said that she said she was going to destroy humans. As silly as it sounds, robots can easily gain this much power before we even realize it. So much work is put into them and before the constructor even realizes, they are way more knowledgeable than anticipated. For example, if robots began to be drivers for businesses or even fly planes, I bet many people would be terrified to get on a plane not even having a real human driving. Nearly 80% of people are worried about robots taking their jobs. I am not a fan of the idea of robots becoming a bigger deal, I feel like it wouldn't go as well as planned.
