Performing Arts- Overcome Your Fears

The title of my performance art piece is Overcome Your Fears. I made this my title to show that my performance will show me overcoming the people causing negative energy in my life. Showing that I am starting at my lowest point, sad, upset always, and then eventually I will fight away the negativity and be my own person at my best. I want my audience to get the idea that everyone goes through rough points in life but there no one stopping you from overcoming those issues but yourself. Don't hold back and allow everyone to over power you, you are strong. I will have weight on my shoulders to show it's bringing me down, bullies acting mean towards me, messages to show people saying mean things. Then there will be the ending scene to show that I have overcome this point in my life and am becoming the happy person I deserve to be. There is no need to live a sad life, we are all human and have our own lives to live. Don't let others tear you down, we are strong, we are living a life we deserve. Life isn't meant to be lived sad all the time.

21st century technology

In the century we now live in, people have become too lazy to depend on themselves because technology can do it for them. Over the past few years, the online ordering website, Amazon, has increased it's products drastically. A number one seller is the amazon Alexa. Alexa is a round speaker figure that responds whenever you say her name and does whatever you ask her to. She can connect to your lighting system in your home and turn on any light you ask for, call or text anyone, make purchases for you. All we have to do is talk to her which makes our jobs a whole lot easier. What we don't realize is it leads to u becoming lazy, dependent on others, and people tend to believe the government plays a part in these Alexa creations. I feel as if the technology that influenced the Alexa was telephone marketer calls, computers, clap on light figures. Creating Alexa allows people to have their own "personal assistant" in their home to do whatever they need just by saying her name. People depending on technology only leads the future to a scary sight. Obesity was never a huge deal in the past the way it is now, no one feels the need to move when someone else can do their work. Many jobs will be gone because their are systems or pieces of technology that can do the job rather than the person. It saves companies money by not having to pay workers and just buying the one or two pieces of technology they need to do the job.

Performing Arts

As we've viewed different videos of people's work, it was brought to my attention the meaning behind pieces that most people view as pointless. You have to view the video in depth and think outside the box almost. Most videos honestly left me very confused until I was explained the meaning of it. Once I realized, I was amazed to see that a simple idea can be turned into a deep and meaningful art performance. I am looking forward to being able to come up with our own ideas and make them into videos. Seeing what everyone else comes up with will be exciting to see how differently everyone goes about the idea. Performing arts is a different type of amazing. You watch a performance and think to yourself, "what the heck did i just watch," until you realize the true meaning and it has caught your attention. I am glad it was brought to my attention the meaning behind some performing art pieces that I may have never thought anything of them. It is crazy to change your perspective and think in depth of something so strange sometimes.
